Board Members

Kate Redpath
Kate Redpath is passionate about WomanWell’s mission and is grateful for an opportunity to help ensure the Center and the vision flourishes. 

She has a background in marketing and her personal strengths lie in copywriting and project management. As a member of the board, Kate is excited to work with leadership and the other board members to strenghen external communications and share our mission with the community. 

Joann Gehling, FSPA, D.Min.
Joann Gehling, FSPA, is a pastoral counselor and spiritual director at Prairiewoods Spirituality Center in Hiawatha, Iowa. Joann has a Doctorate in Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary with a specialization in feminist theology and psychology. She chose to be a member of WomanWell Board because she believes in the Mission of empowering women to claim their gifts so that they, in turn, can celebrate and share this goodness with others.

Kathy Corey
Kathy Corey was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lived in fourteen different places before graduating from high school in northern Minnesota. Because of this nomadic life and having a loving and protective grandmother, she is drawn to find ways of healing through nature and art through observing and listening.

Kathy's journey of personal healing led her to become a Spiritual Director (since 1986), a Healing Touch Practitioner, an artist, and at present, a quilter. She has an English and Art History degree from the University of Minnesota, completed training in the Spiritual Direction program at Mercy Center in Burlingame, California, and completed training in the Healing Touch program.

Her volunteer work includes serving as a greeter and cook for a homeless drop-in center, a leader of a Gay and Lesbian Committee, a Eucharistic minister, a volunteer for FSPA affiliation live-in, serving on the board of Parish Council and Parish Tithing Committee and the Personal Integration Committee (FSPA), and most recently, sewing quilts for a new women and children's shelter. Kathy have been an affiliate with the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration for twelve years and in 2007 became a life-long affiliate.

Kathy has taken the last 2 years off from work and volunteering as much as possible to come back to observing and listening, a resting place of continued healing. She lives in Bloomington, Minnesota with her husband and has five grown children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Becky Timm
Becky Timm is a St. Paul resident who works on the East Side of St. Paul for a community development non-profit and teaches at a charter high school on the East Side - both near WomanWell. Becky is also the co-chair of the St. Paul Ramsey County Food and Nutrition Commission. In 2006, she graduated from the Spiritual Guidance and Leadership Program at WomanWell. It was a remarkable experience that changed her view of the world. Becky is an active backyard gardener and helped found a community garden in 2010.

Becky has worked with small non-profit organizations for over the past decade. She has extensive experience with grassroots organizing, marketing, fundraising and organization development. WomanWell holds a very special place in her heart. She has enjoyed watching the development of the programs and is happy to lend a hand by serving on the WomanWell Board.

Rosemary Desmond, FSPA
Rosemary Desmond is a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration from La Crosse,WI. After receiving degrees in music and liturgy from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, she served as a music educator, campus minister, community leadership team member, and Director of Music and Liturgy in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota. Sister Rosemary both acted in and directed the music for countless theatre productions before retiring in 2010.

Jeff Dols
Jeff Dols joined the WomanWell staff as the Executive Director in 2013 after serving as director of the Franciscan Spirituality Center since July 2011. Before joining the FSC, Jeff spent 13 years at Wells Fargo in Minneapolis serving as a strategic planning manager. Jeff has a gift for integration and has been able to negotiate the often divergent paths of the modern corporation and the footsteps of Christ. He draws upon his experience as a leader and mentor to help others in business seek the inner transformation that leads to a life of integrity. His personal journey includes a year of spiritual direction formation at Christos Center in Lino Lakes, MN, and a masters degree in Servant Leadership from Viterbo University. The Franciscan call led him to become a covenant Affiliate and Prayer Partner of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. He chronicled his personal journey in his book of reflections: One in Spirit. Jeff's hobbies include baseball, hiking, camping, walking meditation, and reflecting near "big water". Jeff lives in Eagan with his wife Maria and two daughters,  Rachel and Angela.

Rose Elsbernd, FSPA Liaison
Rose currently is on the Leadership Team of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and therefore is the liaison from the spnsoring community to WomanWell.

Having many years of experience in retreat ministry and spiritual direction, she is an advocate for the mission of WomanWell. She holds master degrees, and from 2001-2010, she directed the large Villa Maria Center in Frontenac, MN. She says, "It is indeed a privilege to be part of promoting the journey of others to inner work and peace."
