Letter from the Director
Del's Farewell as Director of WomanWell!
We have arrived at a New Year! We have just said “good bye” to what has been and “hello” to what will be, many of us experience mixed emotions. There is a sadness as we bid farewell to what we have learned and enjoyed and excitement in the anticipation of what will be.
And so too, at WomanWell, as I bid farewell as director of this lovely center and welcome the new director I experience both sadness and excitement for the future. I left the position on December 31st. It has been a wonderful 18 years in which I learned and experienced life in a full and enriching way. I will be forever grateful for the gifts of friendship, support, encouragement and spiritual awakening I have received here. Those gifts have come mainly through the wonderful and committed people I have met on this journey, those participating in our programs, renting space for their groups, volunteers, a supportive staff that have accompanied and helped make possible all that we have been able to accomplish during these years.
I am excited for the future of WomanWell which I believe has not yet completed the work it has been given. I know you will support and care for the new director as you have done for me. I leave the post feeling confident WomanWell will be in good hands and continue its Mission as AN URBAN OASIS HONORING THE SACRED, THE SELF AND THE EARTH IN COMMUNITY, INSPIRED BY THE SPIRIT OF ST. FRANCIS.
