Reflection & Relaxation Day
Take time for yourself each month. Treat yourself to a quiet, reflective and healing space away from your usual routine. Check in with your creative self and review life's unfolding. Each day’s theme originates in Gloria Karpinski’s book: Barefoot on Holy Ground: Twelve Lessons in Spiritual Craftsmanship. The day's reflections will be provided when you arrive.
The day begins in a circle, centering ourselves with music, readings, quiet time and a reflection on the day’s theme. You are invited to find your private space inside or outside weather permitting. Art supplies are available. Experience two individual 30-minute holistic services (choose from spiritual direction, reflexology, contemplative healing touch, or craniosacral therapy). Beverages and a delicious nutritious lunch are included.
You may come to any monthly Reflection and Relaxation Day.
Held the 2nd Monday of each month (Note: 1st Monday in December)
9 a.m- 4 p.m., October 2013 through May 2014:
Monday, October 14, 2013 Knowing you are Spirit is the first step. It takes practice to bring that into full flower in the material world. Paying attention to the lessons and feedback life offers supports integration of spiritual awareness in daily life.
Monday, November 11, 2013 Spiritual Development is an ongoing process gradually freeing our inner radiance by confronting and transforming illusions. The work is both universal and highly personal.
Monday, December 2, 2013 (Please note: This is the first Monday) Trust the process that brought you to this point of inquiry. You are in the right place at exactly the right time, no matter what is going on.
Monday, January 13, 2014 “I don’t know” is not only an okay answer to any question, it is often the beginning of wisdom. Whatever you believe must be put into practice before it becomes your own.
Monday, February 10, 2014 Pay attention to everything—your breath, your body, your emotional reactions, your mental gymnastics. You are constantly giving yourself clues to your inner world through your responses to the outer.
Monday, March 10, 2014 Develop an observer who just watches, doesn’t make judgments, but reminds you that things are not what they seem—and also that things are what they are. Can you hold both of those insights?
Monday, April 14, 2014 Retire any purely linear point of view. The way we perceive anything depends on where we entered the circle, not where we are on some imaginary ladder. . .
Monday, May 12, 2014 Ask for additional information. The law of magnetic attraction works, and it is no more sentimental than the law of gravity. Whatever you seek you will find.
There are private spaces if you wish as well as a gathering room. Choose two half hour sessions of: Craniosacral Therapy, Reflexology, Contemplative Healing Touch, or Spiritual Direction. We will conclude the day with a closing ritual.
